Before heading out to Eat the Street, i stopped by Fresh Cafe for a quick java fix.

Only a few minutes walk from the venue, i was there in no time. Although there are a couple of big box coffee houses in nearly the same distance, i prefer to support this place a lot of the time. Not only is the coffee delicious. But they also serve some pretty tasty eats out of this small cafe too. If youre in the area, its a stop you need to make. And if youre not in the area… its a trip you need to take anyway. Fresh sandwiches, salads and soup make for a delicious lunch spot. not to mention bagels and pastrys to go with your java.

The storefront is clean, but edgy. Hosting murals by local artists. The bright colors, cleanliness, and interesting artwork are welcoming to patrons of all styles.

The cafe interior is much the same. Less the big murals. But very bright and clean. Always welcoming. Theres plenty of seating to enjoy a meal, Hang out with friends, Or whatever it is you might be in for. The back of the cafe is also used as a venue for many different types of events, like Art & Flea, and Poetry Slam Competitions.

Due to the big food truck rally i was heading back to, I wasn’t able to get any food this time around. But that gives me a good excuse to make my way back soon. Not that i particularly need one.

So it was time to grab my coffee, and hit the road, back to the big event

…until next time
