Visit to the Mu-Ryang-Sa Buddhist Temple

Took a trip to the Mu-Ryang-Sa Buddhist Temple in Kaimuki. Tucked deep in Palolo valley, this place is so quiet and surreal. The monks are always very nice when we visit. Hard to imagine that, while we just stop by once in a while to take this glimpse into another world, others actually live their lives like this.

When you first walk in, its hard not to be amazed. Across the main lawn, there is a two story stone pagoda. Tons of stone statues. And treasures in the form of beautiful artwork and sculpture around the entire temple.

Tucked in the back corner is a wall covered in little Buddha statues, standing about 5″ high each.

here are a couple of selections from this past trip
